Urbanisation is a rising trend which sees hundreds of millions of people, especially in Asia, migrating from smaller towns to the big cities, bringing challenges to lawmakers and urban planners addressing growth and other challenges, including the environment and climate change. I was a panelist at The Economist's Sustainability Summit in Kuala Lumpur this morning and had a great discussion with my fellow panelists who are all doing amazing work in the area of sustainable development.

One of the key points I highlighted was that people come to cities in search of opportunities. If they could find a way to earn a living where they are, it helps address the root cause of the mass migration to urban areas. Entrepreneurship holds the potential answer to stemming or even reversing the flow of migration.
