The QI group had the honour of being invited by the International Business & Leadership Forum in Brussels, Belgium in association with the International Association for Human Values. The forum’s theme this year was Ethics in Business – Corporate Culture and Spirituality. Vijay Eswaran, Chairman of the QI Group was invited to speak at this prestigious forum that took place at the European Parliament along with business & thought leaders from around the world, including several heads of state from Europe and ambassadors of 14 countries.
Vijay Eswaran was a speaker and panellist at the discussion in the key plenary titled- ‘The Noble Cause – a key for inspiration, sustainability & best talents?‘ He spoke about the importance of focussing on human values & creating a sense of belonging to attract and retain best talent in corporations. He specifically spoke about the practice of RYTHM (Raise Yourself To Help Mankind) in the QI Group of Companies and how that has helped foster loyalty & commitment among the employees & customers of the group and pointed out how today after ten years, 30 of the original 70 employees from a decade ago continue to be with the company. His powerful speech illustrated with anecdotes and true stories was very well received by the delegates and the moderator of the session summed it up best as she pointed out how the audience skipped a heartbeat at the poignant closing anecdote.
Ms.Rajita Kulkarni, Regional Director, Asia Pacific for Citibank was the moderator for this plenary session and she made it a point to state in her closing remarks what a beautiful concept RYTHM is and how necessary it is in today’s world.
Some of the other speakers at the symposium included Mr.Jan Muelfeiht, Chairman, Microsoft Europe, Dr.Sanjay Pradhan, Vice President, World Bank Institute, Mr.Vijay Poonosamy, Vice President, International Affairs for Etihad Airways.
