GLOBAL direct selling company, QNet, is confident of enhancing its international branding as a sponsor of the F1 team, Marussia Virgin Racing.
QNet, the flagship subsidiary of the QI Group of companies, is helmed by Malaysian entrepreneur Datuk Vijay Eswaran.
Eswaran said the exposure for QNet will be at the highest level as the 2011 FIA Formula One World Championship gets underway next month.
"It’s not about advertising money equals product sales, but F1 sports is clearly the platform to be on if you want to be there on the global village," said Eswaran.
He admitted that QNet had originally discussed with the Lotus Racing team to be one of their sponsors but following the legal wrangle with the ‘Lotus’ name which is ongoing, QNet decided to opt for the Virgin Racing team instead.
"But it cannot be denied that Richard Branson (chief executive officer of the Virgin Group), who was personally involved in the negotiations, had laid on the table an excellent sponsorship proposition which had symbiotic benefits we could not say no to," he said. — Bernama
