Prof.Jayakumar, Senior Minister of Singapore(Cabinet) is a much admired politician and academic in Singapore and its neighbour Malaysia. QI Group Executive Chairman, Vijay Eswaran had the pleasure of meeting him at a charity fundraiser dinner at the Orchid Country Club in Singapore on Friday, Jan 22, 2010. Mr.Eswaran had the opportunity to have a wonderful discussion on varied subjects with the former Deputy PM of Singapore and presented him with a signed special edition of his book – In the Sphere of Silence.
Seated at the head table along with Prof.Jayakumar and Vijay Eswaran were Judge Justice S. Rajendran (retd), former Commissioner for Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore, Satpal Khattar, consultant & partner of Khattar Wong, Senior Minister of State Zainal Abidin Rashid, Parliamentary Secretary & Member of Parliament Hawazi Daipi, Vijay Iyengar, Chairman of the Indian Chamber of Commerce & other prominent members of the Indian community in Singapore. A special edition of the ‘In the Sphere of Silence’ was also presented to Senior Minister Zainal Abidin Rashid.
The dinner event was also attended by other members of the QI Board, who earlier in the day played at the charity golf event supported by QI.
