Datuk Dr Vijay Eswaran witnessed the launch of Menyelusuri Sfera Keheningan, a translation of his original bestseller In The Sphere of Silence recently.
Held at the QI Tower in Petaling Jaya, the book was launched by Tan Sri Razali Ismail, who is former president of the United Nations General Assembly and former UN Special Envoy to Myanmar.
Vijay, who is QI Group of Companies executive chairman, ori-ginally authored the book in 2005.
“Since then, the book’s popularity has seen it translated into German, Dutch, Arabic, Bahasa Indonesia and Farsi,” said Datin Umayal Eswaran of Rythm House Publishing, which published the book.
Speaking at the launch, Vijay said: “The human mind is the most powerful creation ever. But it needs to be harnessed so as to exploit its maximum potential.
“I’ve been practising the Sphere of Silence for most of my life. There is nothing new about the philosophies I discuss in this book.
“Silence is an integral part of most faiths. Many historical personalities, from Gandhi to Churchill, have been known to practise some degree of silence as a way of crystalising their thoughts and finding inner balance amid noise and chaos.
“Through this book, I wanted to share the important lessons I’ve learnt over the years through the practice of silence and inspire others to experience its benefits.”
Also present was Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk S.K. Devamany.
Menyelusuri Sfera Keheningan retails at RM32.90 and is available at all major bookstores.
