For five days every year, the tiny mountain resort of Davos-Klosters in the Swiss Alps turns host to some of the biggest names in the world of business, politics, academics, media and arts and culture as the World Economic Forum conducts its annual meeting. 2500 of the world’s top leaders and intellectuals in these areas come together to discuss the most pressing issues facing the world.
This year Vijay Eswaran made his debut at Davos representing the QI Group which was recently made a Global Growth Company Partner member of the Forum. Of particular significance was an invitation to a panel discussion hosted by the Istanbul Financial Centre Initiative on RISING VISION OF 2023: THE NEW FINANCIAL CENTER ISTANBUL held at the sidelines of the annual meeting. Turkey being an important market for the QI Group, Vijay explained how he, as an Asian investor finds Turkey an exciting place to do business in, because of its e-commerce penetration and the gateway it offers into Central Asia. The panel discussion was broadcast on CNBC Turkey.
Vijay was also honoured to be invited to join the Advisory Board of the Global Growth Community Advisory Council of the WEF.
