Vijay Eswaran was the recipient of the Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) 2012. The APEA) celebrates Malaysia’s outstanding entrepreneurs for the year and was held at Shangri La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, marking the sixth year that this event is held in Malaysia.
The evening was a vision of the entrepreneurial successes that the Malaysian business leaders have achieved over the years. Organized by Enterprise Asia and supported by local governments, chambers of commerce and businesses, the annual awards are now presented in 16 countries across Asia Pacific. The gala dinner and awards ceremony was officiated by Datuk Hajjah Rohani binti Haji Abdul Karim, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-Operatives and Consumerism.
The APEA board of adjudicators comprises of highly commendable intellects which includes the presence of Enterprise Asia’s International Advisory Panel, representing diverse senior advocators across different countries in the region.
